John Mellencamp

John began painting in the summer of 1998 in the basement of his Bloomington Home.
Religion, politics and smoke are some of the recurring themes throughout his paintings.
The idea of The Southern Indiana Center for The Arts came from John, and through his generosity the Center has established itself as a regional Center for the fine, performing, culinary, architetural, artisan, and literary arts.

  1. Musicians who are artists, bring a deep sense of meaning into their artwork.
